Luggage scales
Airlines flying to or from Tunisia each impose a different baggage allowance. It is important that each traveler complies with it, or else the payment of excess baggage fees can be significant. It is therefore recommended to weigh your luggage before going to the airport. It is however possible to weigh them on the scales available in the check-in area to lighten them if necessary.
Cabin baggage
Each company has its own baggage policy. Most of the time, luggage weighing more than 32kg is forbidden. In addition, the maximum size of luggage should not exceed 158cm (height + width + length). Any off-size baggage may incur additional charges or be refused by the company. Like baggage traveling in the hold, cabin baggage must be of a maximum size and weight. Some passengers try to board other items than those validated at check-in. They expose themselves to the refusal of embarkation of these baggage or to the payment of excess baggage in addition to delaying the takeoff to the detriment of all the travelers.
Last minute tickets
Passengers who have not had the time to buy their tickets or have missed their flights have the option to purchase a ticket at the airport (at generally higher rates). Correspondents of different travel agencies can offer these services.
Prayer rooms
Prayer rooms are available in both terminals.
Health
To ensure the comfort of its travelers and visitors, Tunis Airport offers a medical service (doctors on call, first aid and ambulances) for health emergencies (public hall, arrival area). In addition, a pharmacy is located on the 1st floor of the main public hall. It is open from Monday to Friday from 8h to 19h30 and from Saturday to Sunday from 8h to 17h.
Baggage disputes
In case of lost, stolen or damaged baggage carried by travelers, you can go to the litigation office located near the baggage claim area.
Bars and restaurants
The airport has bars / restaurants operated in public areas of different terminals and in bonded area / boarding area. You can eat there or consume various drinks, sodas or mineral waters. Fast food (sandwiches) is also available 24/24.
